Charlie demonstrated some of his electronic work at the Film Festival Rotterdam 2004, including the programming he did for Vertical Cat's Election Manifesto Random Policy Generator. Subsequently ‘went dark’ and continued developing technique and style while focussing on software development and cybersecurity. Now back in the musical saddle and styling it up with computer-less hardware based electronics.

Geiom

Kamal Joory aka @geiom_berkane_sol’s journey in electronic music started way back with the bombastic Linn drums and 808's of classic breakdance electro, some of which turned up again years later in the form of another major influence, 90's uk hardcore and jungle.

Once the big tent euphoria had subsided, Geiom [ aka Mear & Hem] turned his attention to electronic listening music, and began to generate his own Atari powered explorations for labels like Skam and Neo Ouija.

In the early 2000's Geiom was exposed to the emerging sound of Grime and, eventually, its cousin, Dubstep. He immersed himself into the culture and carved out his own niche by moulding his synthetic melodic sensibilities around the framework of 140 bass music. This led to releases on labels such as Deep Medi, Planet Mu and his own imprint, Berkane Sol.

His current work coalesces all the strains of his influences & productions into something more  advanced & unique to his outlook & practice. The two tracks for polytypic one, Soul Bauble & Coop Coupe, are his contributions to the compilation.
